5 am and I can't sleep. Tossing and turning for hours and finally woke up completely when the dehumidifier switched off with a shudder that sent flying a plastic dish that I had placed on top of the machine. Might as well get up even though I am dead tired. I wrote this post in my head, at 5 am, ready to be put into type later on. Anca and I are off to the UK on Friday night and the excitement has left me sleep deprived for the last few days. We are going to London for three days, then Bristol to stay with my friends Darren and Sarah and their boys Joshua and Oliver, aged 6 and 2 respectively. On Dec 26th Anca will fly to Romania and Darren and I fly to Geneva for some skiing in France at Champagny. Darren flies back to Bristol on Dec 30th and I fly back on the evening of Jan 1st (63 pounds). On January 3rd I fly to Romania where Anca will pick me up from Bucharest and drive us back to her city of Cluj Napoca in Translyvania (creepy!). We leave Romania a week or so later arriving back in Auckland on January 14th, ready to go back to work the next day (hooray). -----
