Wow, I finally did it. After years of envying the pretty Apple computers I have taken the plunge and purchased an iMac.
The tipping point was loosing Windows XP for the third time in less than six months. Luckily most of my data was backed up but re-installing always takes a whole weekend and this year I seemed to spend more time working on Windows than working on websites. Add to this the fact that Macs now use Intel chips which means that I can run Windows XP as a window on my Mac screen so I don’t have to give up all my PC software (this has been the major sticking point for me until now).
Anyway, all I can say is WOW. Everything works, even WindowsXP running on the Mac.
As Ferris Bueller said, if you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up. They’re the bomb (Ferris didn’t say bomb).
